Day 15

Well we have traveled 5240kms in total and today we completed the Tanami track travelling 1000kms.We are all so dusty and our bones have been shaken to the core. We made it into Wolf Creek Crater which is the 2nd largest meteorite in the world spanning 800 meters across and is 35 mtrs deep. The others did not make it in as the road was too rough. Cams camper is not fairing well the brakes went today and the camper door is not working well which is a shame for him. We stayed last night at the most remote roadhouse in Australia called Rabbit Flat that is on the Tanami track. Its a quite bizarre place run by a french woman who freaked out when I pointed a camera into her reception area. Its just a weired spot, you pay $80 for a warm and $90 for a cold slab, all the aboriginals venture here get smashed at the end of the road and move on. They drive their cars in the dust, pissed, windows down kids with no belts. Generally they drive their cars into the ground. There is an intervention on alcohol here, for instance in Halls Creek where we are staying tonight you can only buy light beer at $55 a slab, and Back in Alice you cant purchase cask wine till after 6PM and you have to explain what you are using it for and show your licence to be scanned. Yes I know there are lots of spelling mistakes but im sitting out the rear of our camper under the balmy night, finally evenings have warmed up. In fact today at Wolf Creek it got to 35 degrees and thats another point I have not seen a cloud in almost weeks, the sky is so blue and so much dust on us all. Well shall put this post up and get some pics on also. We are off tomorrow to Bungle Bungles but have heard the road is real rough anyway see how we go. hoo roo James Lea Thomas and Elliott
